Day 10

Today I made a difference by helping Mum cook dinner. This saved Mum some time as she was able to do the ironing while I kept an eye on dinner cooking. I felt good about this because it meant that Mum would be able to go to bed earlier because she started the ironing earlier in the evening than she would have normally.

Day 9

I made a difference today by taking my sheets off my bed and remaking it. It made a difference because it was one less thing for Mum to have to do as she has been working lots lately. It was a good feeling to help Mum. It makes Mum happy when I help around the house.

Day 8

Today to make a difference I helped my Mum tidy up a cupboard. This made a difference because it saved Mum having to worry about doing it herself and was one less job for her to do. I felt really good in helping Mum with that job and she gave me a big hug.

Day 7

I made a difference today by helping my Aunty in the garden weeding. It made a difference to her as she works long hours and doesn't get a lot of time to spend in the garden. This made me feel really good because it is nice to help out family.

Day6

To make a difference today I helped my Aunty Lizzy do the dishes. This made a difference because it meant that my Aunty Lizzy was able to do other jobs. This made me feel very useful to her as she was behind in her other jobs around the house.

Day 5

22/05/09
Today what I did to make a difference was that I unpacked my bag because we were in a rush after school. I know that I made a difference because Mum said "thanks Rebecca" as I don't normally unpack my bag. I felt good about doing that for Mum otherwise she would have had to do more work. :) If another person was involved I think their feelings would have been the same as mine as it is nice to help your parents.

today what I did to make a difference is I helped my granny carry in some of her stuff from her car.
I felt very good after because she said ' Thank you Rebecca .'
I know I made a difference because I could see that she was happy and if I didn't help her she would have had to go back and get some more.
